This pack marks the origin of Max & Me. We acquired Boongarrie Estate in 2002, dedicating nearly a decade to nurturing the vineyard before crafting our inaugural wine, the 2011 Shiraz. This was from a challenging vintage with substantial rainfall, yet it resulted in a medium-bodied wine that's both complex and deeply expressive. The 2012 vintage was ideal for Eden Valley, yielding two robust, perfectly structured reds, of which only a few dozen bottles remain. The 2015 wines are exquisite, showcasing a soulful aroma, medium body, and a harmonious balance that truly reflects their remarkable origin. Leading up to the 2016 harvest, conditions became significantly drier, and the House Block vines fought through the heat and aridity to ripen. This has produced a powerful, concentrated wine, one that will benefit from ageing as its firm tannins gradually soften over the years.
