This wine pack is all about fun, light-hearted enjoyment, focusing on wines that are bright, fresh, and incredibly drinkable - a recurring theme in all our offerings at Max & Me. But let's get back to the wines. Pinot Noir typically thrives in cooler climates than Eden Valley, yet there's always an exception, and in this case, it's High Eden. Here, at the top of the Barossa Ranges, a microclimate exists that's cool and moist enough to yield exquisite Pinot Noir. The 2020 hails from a south-facing plot facing Mount Crawford, planted with the renowned MV6 clone (sourced from Burgundy's Clos Vougeot.) The 2021 comes from an east-facing site, planted in the 1980s with a blend of high-quality Pinot clones, a trailblazer for the district. Moving to Grenache, the 2022 and 2023 vintages come from the legendary "Stonegarden" vineyard, east of Springton, the block planted in 1873. This site is renowned for producing some of the region's finest Grenache, with wines that are intensely aromatic and enchanting. Finally, our Syrah from Boongarrie Estate showcases early hand-picking and whole-bunch fermentation for added zest and aroma. The 2021 vintage boasts a unique Amaro-like crunch amid its spicy, dark fruit profile. Our inaugural 2017 Syrah is a more robust wine, rich with dark fruits and dried herb notes that add both edge and depth.
