Despite being the same grape variety, Syrah and Shiraz are associated with different wine styles. Our Syrah is lighter in weight, has finer tannins, is more savory, and has bright acidity. This wine is produced on the North Block, which is influenced by its light sandy schist soils that produce floral aromas. The grapes are hand picked at early ripeness and fermented with whole bunches to impart spice and fragrance to the wine. Maturation takes place exclusively in large-format, old French oak barrels.
