Max & Me Shiraz 2021 from our estate vineyard. Spicy and fragrant Shiraz from the our estate owned vineyard, located in the Eden Valley in the Barossa’s beautiful high country. Vegan friendly. A single vineyard Shiraz by Philip and Sarah Lehmann.
A special section of Boongarrie vineyard, the House Block, is used to grow the shiraz grapes for this wine. It is underlain by ironstone and has rich red soil, and the original planting material was derived from cuttings from an ancient and magnificent vineyard in the area. The grapes are picked at their first peak of ripeness with a destemming harvester during the cool night. Flavors typically include notes of sage, graphite and mulberry. It is fermented in small open grape bins and aged in new and old fine-grained three-year seasoned French oak barrels. This is a particularly age-worthy wine.
