Description
Max & Me Shiraz 2021 - Sourced from our estate vineyard in the Eden Valley, within the stunning highlands of Barossa. This Shiraz is both spicy and aromatic, crafted by Philip and Sarah Lehmann. Vegan friendly.
A dedicated portion of Boongarrie vineyard known as the House Block is designated for cultivating the Shiraz grapes used in this wine. The area features an ironstone base with deep red soil, and the vines stem from cuttings of an ancient, distinguished vineyard nearby. Harvesting occurs during the cool night using a destemming harvester when the grapes reach their initial peak of ripeness. The wine boasts flavors reminiscent of sage, graphite, and mulberry. It undergoes fermentation in small open fermenters and is then aged in both new and seasoned fine-grained French oak barrels for three years, promising excellent aging potential.
