Description
Max & Me Pinot Noir - Cultivated in the High Eden sub-district of Eden Valley, this wine is medium-bodied, vibrant, and fresh, featuring a spectrum of dark, brambly fruits. It's vegan friendly and a single vineyard Pinot Noir by Philip and Sarah Lehmann.
The high elevation of our vineyard is essential for this variety in our area; when grown in too warm conditions, it tends to lose its aromatic qualities. The Pinot Noir originates from a cool, east-facing plot with views over the Eastern Eden Valley plateau range. The fruit from these mature Pinot vines is exceptionally flavorful. Utilizing open fermentation and aging for 11 months in second-use, fine-grained French oak puncheons, this Pinot turns out bright, crisp, and fruit-forward. Our aim with this style is to preserve the wine's freshness and crunch. It's delightful to drink now but will only get better with time.
